Georgia Hamilton
Miss Georgia Hamilton is Team Lead at Georgia Hamilton & Co., Attorneys-at-Law. She was admitted to practice in Jamaica in November 2004 and has been in private practice since November 2005. Miss Hamilton is a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School (NMLS) as well as a two-time graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI) where she read for a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication as well as a Bachelor of Laws.
Miss Hamilton served at General Accident Insurance Company Limited as its Legal Officer from 2004 to 2005. In this role, she assumed full responsibility for claims settlement and negotiations, compliance as well as corporate and commercial matters. Immediately after graduating from Law School, Miss Hamilton served as an Associate in the law firm, Chancellor & Company.
Miss Hamilton is a former Chair of the Child Protection & Family Services Agency (formerly the Child Development Agency) as well as a former member of the Board of Directors of: (i) Clarendon Alumina Production Limited, which owns the interest of the Government of Jamaica in Jamalco; (ii) the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority; the Water Resource Authority; and the Rent Assessment Board. Miss Hamilton chaired the Land Adjudication Committees for the Rock Hall and Lawrence Tavern Divisions and sits on the Disciplinary Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica for the period 2017 to 2022 and currently chairs the Allman Town Land Adjudication Committee. Apart from her practice in law, Miss Hamilton is the Managing Director of Island Market Researchers, a research outfit, and Ascynth Wyl Limited, a farming and distribution start-up.
