Lisa Harrison

Lisa Harrison is a trained museologist with interest and experience in both historical and science museums. She obtained a Masters of Arts in Museum Studies from the George Washington University, Washington D.C. and worked at the Smithsonian Institution’s Natural History Museum while completing her studies. Having obtained her degree, she returned to Jamaica immediately to work at the Institute of Jamaica’s Museums of History and Ethnography as Keeper of the Collections and subsequently Acting Director of the division.
Lisa has also worked in the non-profit arena both in Jamaica and in the United States of America. As an International Fellow to the Council on Foundations she interfaced with funding bodies based in the U.S. and internationally. Back in Jamaica, she worked at the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica as Programme Manager, supervising grants to both environmental and child-development programmes.
Currently, Lisa is Practice Manager at the law firm Harrison & Harrison.
