The CHASE Fund handed over Laparoscopic Towers to both the Mandeville Regional and May Pen Hospitals on June 19, 2018. The handover took place at the May Pen Hospital. CHASE provided funding in the amount of $25.3M for the procurement of the laparoscopic towers and instruments. Laparoscopy is often used to identify and diagnose the source of pelvic or abdominal pain. It’s usually performed when noninvasive methods are unable to help with diagnosis.
